Increased Functionality & Enhanced Data Recording
Scarecrow Bio-Acoustic Systems have added more functionality to the already comprehensive bird dispersal and wildlife management system, Ultima. After working closely with their worldwide network of users, Scarecrow has expanded the products airfield data recording capabilities. Scarecrow’s Commercial Director Tom Diamond comments:
“We have been working closely with a number of airports to ensure that Ultima continues to aid them in their daily functions. 2009 will see us launch advanced reporting functionality that provides the Airfield teams with limitless data recording functions. We feel it is important for the Airport to have control of their own product and from this ethos we have provided a platform to allow them to add logging criteria.”
The 3rd Generation of Ultima will be available in the Q1 2009 and will feature a new entirely scalable ‘Observations’ section will allow the customer to define the logging requirements - this could include precipitation levels, ground state, runway selection, wildlife counts etc. This update will also be supplied to existing users.
Scarecrow has also developed the integration potential of the Ultima system. It can now communicate with a wide range of other data systems, as well as other Airfield equipment, such as lighting assessment tools and friction testers, upon request.
